Experience in Madrid, Spain by Rowan
What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Madrid is a great place to live. Personally I love the light over there. The sunlight/daylight is so bright! Compared to Holland it is always bright over there. I love the streets, cultures, the feeling of freedom. Apart there are a lot of places to visit. The food is great, fresh and healthy, me as a diabetic, got a lot of good help and information about how to treat myself well. If you like Fashion, you are on the right place also. I love the public transport, very organized. And the people are very friendly and helpful. I am good with Artworks, so I am hoping to find a job in this particular area, but it a place like Madrid, everything is possible. The word 'no' doesn't exist over there.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?
For me it was easy but I think as a foreigner it won't be easy to find something? I am lucky because my partner is living there. But from what I heard, as an outsider, it is difficult to get yourself settled over there. My advice would be to go to some agencies who can help you to find the place you are wishing for.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Great, Fresh, Healty and well payed.
