What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Madrid is full of life and always busy. What seems like a a very traditional city changes at night. Madrid is divided in different areas which all their own charm and style. Restaurants open late and bars and clubs stay open till early morning. There are many beautiful parks, and the Sierra, the mountains are only 40 min driving from the center.

To rent a room you would normally pay 200-500 euros/month. But of course this all depends on where and how many charing the flat. A travel card on metro/bus is about 40 euros per month. Its not a expensive city, you can find good places everywhere and "Cañas y tapas" is very cheap.
