Experience in Madrid, Spain by Natalia
What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's really nice. It is also really big but public transport is great and there are so many things to do!
What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?
Depending on the university and campus you are in.
How much does it cost to live in Madrid?
I don't live in the city center but 25 min away and my flat is kinda nice. I pay 400 euros per month including wifi, gas and water. The food in the supermarkets is good and it's not that expensive either.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?
There are a lot of websites online, also you can make an appointment to see the flat before you rent it.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Spanish food is just so great. Typical food like tortilla de patatas and paella are my faves. You can find a good "menú del día" for 10-12 euros and you get a really good amount of food, and you have many options to choose from.
