What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
In Madrid I felt that I was "free", there are a lot of beautiful parks, people are very friendly and eager to help.
What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?
There are a lot of international students, so in the city there are many entertainments for students.
How much does it cost to live in Madrid?
The accommodation is quite expensive as for me, the lowest price that I found was 300 Eur. I paid 450 for room + around 250 for food.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?
It is easy, there are some websites where you can find an accommodation: Aluni, Spotahome or here at Erasmusu.com.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I like Spanish food, my favourite are paella and tortilla.
What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?
Visit Prado museum, el Retiro park and everything that is in the center (Sol, Plaza de Mayor... ); and if you are in Madrid for summer, there are a lot of cheap swimming pools.
Is it good to eat out in Madrid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
There are a lot of cheap bars, such as "100 montaditos", "El Tigre" and I liked bar-restaurant "Tapas".
Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?
The main party-organisers is "Be Madrid", they organise a lot of events all week.
What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?
Enjoy your stay in this amazing city every day!
