What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It´s a really nice city, where nobody feels a foreigner. Full of life, mix of people: students, workers in a hurry, families, old people in parks. It´s is a place where people live and they like to stay out so it is plenty of life.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

tey can go walking to several universities and Business school and live in the down town so life is easy, very urban and funny.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

between 600 and 800 €

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?

no really. I recommend living in the downtown. Flats are normally very small but you are going to have a lot to do out.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

It is good. You can eat tapas, pinchos ( small food) at good prices. My favourite food is gazpacho, tortilla de patata. You can find all kind of restaurants. Usually, Italian and Chinese are quite cheap.

What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?

Retiro, Museo del Prado y Museo Thissen and, abover all, go walking around the streets of Barrio de Salamanca, Chamberi, and Centro.

Is it good to eat out in Madrid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, Youhave mulyiple options, and you can have discounts throug some webs like , El tenedor or Restalo. I like Terrazas in Olavide Square, Cafe Saigon, Casa Benigna

Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?

yes, it is very good. I usually go to terrazas until 3 in the morning ( they have heat) there are also discos, and pubs but I prefer to talk.

What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?

Try to know Spanish people, live the same life, buy in the markets and small shops in your neighbourhood and enjoy t he city
