What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I strongly recommend Madrid to have an Erasmus experience. The city is so cosmopolitan and this leads in people coming from almost European countries. But the very point is the Mediterranean lifestyle, due to the lovely weather spending time outside becomes in the best hobby.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

Depending on the university in which you would study lifestyle is different. If you're in a faculty placed close to city centre, the opportunities of doing things are better taken. Living far from downtown is not a good deal.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

It depends on the area where you want to live, and also your life style. There's a huge range of prices for everything.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?

There are thousands of student flats, but I advice visiting them before booking so as to avoid disgusting surprises.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Spanish food is all lovely.

It is a nice city, but the best idea is doing trips around the country. This way you can discover the variety of Spanish landscapes and cultures.

Absolutely, but you must know the prices before ordering, touristic places are not cheap!

Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?

Of course! Party all night form Wednesday to Sunday. Dance, 80's, Latin, Gay-friendly, Rock, Indie, After nights... Could you deserve anything else?

What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?

There is no time to lose in here! Adventure is waiting for you, but is better if you can develop yourself in Spanish. Locals aren't so good with languages, sorry ;)
