What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Madrid is an exciting city for young and old,and it is fast becoming really multicultured and multinational.Many refer to it as a city with a pueblo or village soul:There is infrastructure in place like public transportation,various resturants and shopping options,however,the city and its people arestill friendly and helpful with tourists and any other person who requires assistance.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

The student life is vibrant and dynamic.There are lots of activities around the city to make foreign and local students quickly settle in,make friends,buy,eat and drink economically.The buzz and nightlife is incredible and the city is known to have seduced even famous professionals like pro footballers and bballers in their many clubs and hang-out places.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

The cost depends a lot on where you live even though the economical crisis has dropped most prices on general consumption.However,some neighbourhoods,like Barrio Salamanca, are still quite pricey meanwhile others,have become affordable. Most students choose to share apartments and pay about 250-300 euros,while making flatfriends and navegating the city with familiar people.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?

It depends.There are many portals which can be used and many student agencies offer servicesto new students to relocate within their budgets and vicinities to universities or whatever their criteria.One of the most key criteria is accomodation close to amenities like transportation and grocery shops.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is great!There is a great choice of food,and tapas are the most popular choices because they offer various options in flavour and size to accompany each drink. Or most favourite dishes include croquetas and "bocadillos de calamares".

What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?

Yes,Madrid never sleeps.There are various popular clubs in the city and its easier to go to these clubs through the public relations personnel who enlist partygoers for free entrance or entrance fees with complimentary drinks.

What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?
