What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Great... a large city with everything one needs, plus loads of beautiful places, beautiful cities and surroundings around Madrid, and nice people...good fun, great food, cultural life like few others and in general, a really nice place to live in.

Excellent

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

Not a lot, really.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?

Not really...I myself offer help to anyone wanting accommodation, and they can contact me at [email protected]. I can offer students from any country, especially if they speak English, German, Italian, French, Danish, Spanish or even Japanese. I am totally fluent in English and German and Spanish, and I am able to communicate in the other languages...so anyone who needs help...can contact me :)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Great variety and very, very good quality. My favourite dishes are Empanadas, Croquetas, Cocido Madrileño, Carne Mechada, etc. etc. etc.

What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?

The crypt of the cathedral...San Francisco el Grande, la plaza de la Paja, etc. etc. I also do free tours to students wanting to visit places in Madrid.

Is it good to eat out in Madrid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes. La Posada de la Villa.

Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?

Good...some say excellent!

What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?

Work hard, play hard. And get to know Madrid propperly, deeply, and thoroughly! It pays off!!!
