What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Madrid is a busy city, full of activity and things to do.
I live on a village outside the city so I have the best of both worlds.
I couldn't describe the city without writting a lot, because is enormous and has different landscapes.
What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?
Usually partying a lot and depending on your studies spending time at the library;)
How much does it cost to live in Madrid?
It depends on where do you want to live, but it's a expensive city. Maybe something around 1000/monthly
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?
No, it's pretty easy.
Use idealista to find a flat and if you are going to Ciudad Universitaria, there are good places nearby in Argüelles neighbourhood.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There are very different dishes, but my favourite one is a topic, paella or cocido.
What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?
If you like nature, the Retiro park, but if you like art and museums and architecture, go the Paseo del Prado, there are some art galleries and lots of places to visit.
Is it good to eat out in Madrid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yeah, it's good to eat out. Casa Mingo is quite good, they have the best roasted chicken in the world.
Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?
I know it's good, for example go to grab a beer at Malasaña or Chueca, and then go to a club
What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?
Enjoy, there's lots of people saying Madrid is one of the best cities in the world, it covers all aspects of life:)
