It's an experience of live, its museums and its places are full of history. The people are nice and the meals are awesome. You can also live here without paying lots of money.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

It's affordable with less than a thousand euros.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?

There are more and more rooms for students, where you can save some money and share some experiences with another students, also there are lots of flats for rent.

Not difficult to rent a flat but maybe a little puzzling.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Tortilla Española, Churros con chocolate, Jamon Serrano, Cocido Madrileño, Paella Valenciana, Cochinillo (best place to have it it's in Segovia near aqueduct, visited by the King), and so on..

What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?

If you want to live in the capital you must see: Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen, Museo Reina Sofia, Parque del Retiro, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Jardines del Sabatini, Templo de Debod, Madrid Rio, Serrano st., and so on..

Is it good to eat out in Madrid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Lots of places, can't name one. The most tipical maybe museo del Jamon and have the famous squid sandwich in Plaza Mayor. Also have churros con chocolate in San Gines.

Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?

You have lots of places, like Kapital, Penelope, la INN, Faena, la Riviera, sala Moondance, Huertas st. (frecuent by lots of erasmus ppl), Cats, Tiffany's, Pacha and so on..

What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?

Well firstly live in the center, because periphery is less secure. Secondly, get the public transport card to move around madrid (around 45€ a month).
