What is it like to live in Madrid? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I would recommend Madrid for the atmosphere, the people and the culture.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

I don´t know personally about that but I have really good feedbacks about it

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

It depends but this has increased a lot in the last 3 years, also dut to the fact that a lot of foregeiners are coming for job opportunity.
I would say at least 1000€ a month if you share the home or 1500€ a month. (in the city centre)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Madrid? Is there any advice you can give?

Not really, but you has to prepare 3 times the amount of the rent, I mean you will have to pay in 80% of the cases the first month rate + a deposit + the agency

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Spain has an important gastronomic culture and Madrid has is own speciality: el cocido madrileño.
Good wines like Rioja o Albaraiño and also a new craft beer movement that started 4/5 years ago.

What places would you recommend visiting in Madrid?

El Retiro ans casa de campo parks.
Malasaña and La Latina areas.
Gran via streat, plaza del sol square, plaza mayo square.

Is it good to eat out in Madrid? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

More than specific places I would recommend Malasaña area, more tipical ans with less tourists than Sol area.
Salamanca is a good area with really good restaurants but more expensive.

Is the nightlife good in Madrid? Where is good to go?

Yes really good, you have a lot of bar / pubs, then disco and some afters.
A lot of them have latina music but you can find any kind of atmosphere you like.

What advice would you give future students heading to Madrid?

To be ready for really long night parties till 7/8 in the morning.
An dof course to drink responsibly. :)
