Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?
Just to learn some Spanish.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
Basically no, I paid by myself.
What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?
Kind of normal,some boring parties with some locals who really don't know how to drink.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?
Honestly no,Barcelona is way better.
What is the food like?
For the English is heaven,for me,just so so.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?
More or less,cheaper than States and UK,but the living conditions are not that good,I mean most apartments here are really old.
How much does it cost to live in Madrid?
700-800 euros for a month? Never really calculated it...
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Yes, I have attended some Spanish courses, it's difficult, but at least I have learned something.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?
By airplane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?
La Latina area.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?
Yes, there is a restaurant close to Manuel Becerra, really fantastic! Always full of people, but I do not remember the name.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Museums.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?
Barcelona is way better than Madrid, in all the perspectives!
