Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

I chose Madrid to perform my Spanish.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is for one semester. I received 3. 400€ for my living costs.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

It's very great to go to the party. We can meet a lot of people of different countries. An then, Madrid is a big city, and you can enjoy your free time visiting museum...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

Sure! I recommend the city because it's a good way to learn Spanish (and English too with others Erasmus students)! And it's a good way to find a job later with an experience like that.

What is the food like?

Tapas! Well, if you like meat it's really great!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

I came here in Madrid without flat. I looked on the Internet to do some visits. I found my flat the second day.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

400€ for a room in the center of Madrid with a big window. But, it's little. If you want a good room, in the center of Madrid, it cost 500€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, it's really easy to learn Spanish. You have to stay with Spanish people and practice all the time. But if you want, the university propose classes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

The plane if I do not have luggages. Or the train with luggages.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

Chueca or La Latina.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?

A lot of restaurant in La Latina are really great like Juana la Loca.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Reina Sofia, Thyssem, Debod, the river, el Retiro... All the city is really great.
