Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

I chose Madrid because I love Spain and I wanted to get to know the culture and language.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I got 400 euros per month but in my opinion this is not enough because prices in Madrid are very high and renting an apartment is very expensive.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

Student life is cool, a lot is happening, Madrid is full of distractions. In my opinion, student life is great and this is a big advantage.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

Yes, I would recommend, but if someone has a lot of money. If you want to have a cool apartment and travel, you need to know it will cost a lot.

I choose UCM and I will recommend this university, it's very good and the level of education is high.

What is the food like?

The food is delicious, the Spanish food is very good. Tapas that I eat almost daily with friends, tastes best with a good Sangria or Tinto de verano.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

Yes, I could not find an apartment so I wnet to an agency: 'Ail', I do not recommend anyone this agency.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

A lot.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

I choose travel with Ryanair airlines.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

Kapital or Boutique.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?

Grupo La Musa it's few restaurants, best tapas in Mas al Sur Taberna and El Sur Taberna.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

On Sunday most of the visits are free so I recommend to go visit famous sights.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?

Rent or book accommodation at least a few months before coming, then you will be sure and have lower price of rental and the flat problems are the largest issue of all Erasmus in Madrid who I know.
