Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

Because I like the country, and we have to choose between Madrid and Huelva and I choose Madrid, which was the main reason I dont know, probably football:)

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

we get from erasmus scholarship 290+150 per month but this wasn't enough i spent also 1500 euros of my money

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

It is great, the faculty schedulle does not take a lot of time, 3 hours per day, I have eyperienced 2 classes, one was great, very friendly and on theoposite the other...horrible:) there is a lot of parties in madird with good prices, also there is a lot of meetings with erasmus students, salsa nights...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

The city for sure, the university not that much, depends on that what student want. The university wasn't so good because they didn't stick to the plan (I choose english progrema and some stuf were in spanish, some of them didn't gave me proper literture, also they are very into thery and none into practice

What is the food like?

I din't like that much their traditional food like palleas and stuf...but their tapas are amazing

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

this area in in Madrid very well serviced.there is a agency which is very helpfull and they really take care of you. I costs me 70 euros like contract costs but after i got some papers stamped from the university they gave me half back. For finding acomodation I use web so there was no cost.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

350 per apartment and 50 pre month ticket for subway...and than the food. around 600 per month. This are just the main stuf, the other depends on socialasing, outgoing...etc...

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

yes they are but they are not for free. The language is not that hard but it depends on that how willing are you to use it in public.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

airplane from Madrid to Treviso or Bologna and than train to Gorizzia.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

First Sol, it is a meeting point and than let say tapas like al tirge, or 100 montaditos or some discos like Teatro capital, Palace, Orange cafe, Cats..there are many choices

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?

100 Montaditos for sure especially on wednesday and sunday:)

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Palace, Templo de debot, Sol, Teleferico Madrid, Retiro parc...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?

Be careful with thefts, in our group there were 7 ppl who get robbed. when you trust enough you burn yourself...
