Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?
I wanted to learn more about business abroad and to learn language. So I got internship. I picked Madrid because I haven‘t been here before.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I am staying for 3 months and my scholarship is 325 per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?
Because I have work placement I am not involved with student life.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?
The city absolutely. I am not right person to recommend University of Madrid - I don't know it. But studying abroad is the best thing a student can do. So, go for it!
What is the food like?
Perfect. Typical spanish, european, and you can of course find worldwide cousin here. Love it!
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?
Facebook can help you. Groups like ✦ Meet & Speak ✦ Madrid - International Language Exchange Meeting Point, New in Madrid, Erasmus in Madrid. There are so many groups that have perfect info for you.
How much does it cost to live in Madrid?
The room is the biggest expense, food can be bough cheap, also drinks, morning coffee ... You have to know what can you afford and if you cannot you have plenty of options to shop for normal prices.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Like I said I have work placement. But I see that there are many language courses available for small money or even for free. You just have to find it. Facebook is a very handy tool for finding that.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?
I had to take a plane. That was the best way.
Other options would take to long - like a car or a train.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?
I have been here for a week so it is hard for me to say something smart. I recommend you to read some literature and try out. Good things will always happen!
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?
I was in one very good restaurant. It is called DE MARIA. Perfect place to enjoy the best cousine experience in Madrid.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Oh, to many.

Santiago Bernabeu ... I recommend you to take tour bus, a ticket for 2 days ... that is the easiest way to discover the city, and on these two routes that are offered you will see what excites and inspires you.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?
Explore, enjoy, smell, flirt, talk the language, free your soul, cooperate, and communicate with people. They can be the next best thing that has ever happened to you.
