Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

Madrid is a very nice town, people here are kindly and many research center as here, in addition to this it is not far from my country.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship is for three month, I have about 1400 per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

The students here spend all the day at university till 6 or 7 pm, we can enjoy only the weekends.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

Yes, of course, it is very interesting and useful to be here.

What is the food like?

I am used to cooking at home but restaurants here are good also and at university there is one.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

It is about 400 euro per month for a room in a shared apartment, for a studio it is about 700 or 800 euro per month.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

It depends if you rent a room or an apartment and the transport depends on the zones also, more zone more expensive the transport card is, so the best is to live in the same zone of the university.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

At the university most of people can speak English, in the street it is a little bit difficult to communicate with people if you can't speak Spanish.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

Center of Madrid where you find a lot of shops.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?

I usually go to the Arabic restaurant or Turkish.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I liked parks like Retiro park and attraction park, Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, templo de Debod.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?

If you go in winter don't forget your coat!
