Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

To experience a big city, the Spanish culture, people and its nightlife.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1 year, Erasmus funding of 300 euros a month (Not paid all at once, had to wait a while for the payments to start)

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

Amazing! Made so many friends, adore Madrid itself. Love the transport, it´s so simple to get around.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

Absolutely 100%! By far the best expereince I´ve ever had.

What is the food like?

Mostly Spanish (tapas, rice, pasta, breads). Still can find McDonald´s, Dominos etc. Cheaper to eat healthier here than back in the UK!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

No, I found a house through an agency but contacted directly to the landlord.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language courses available, easy to pick up. Best way is to make friends with those that speak Spanish as well.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

Aeroplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

Don't have any doubts, go for it! Best thing I've ever done!
