Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

To practice language skills and to gain better physiotherapy knowledge from different angles.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

2. 5 months. 1100 euros

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

Really good. Because of the siesta you do not need to work too long, so the evenings are free. Also in Madrid is a lot to see. Apparently you would never be bored.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

Yes! Because it is the best place in Spain. It is in center of the Spain, so to go everywhere is closer, than from other parts.

What is the food like?

Tortilla de patata, jamon serrano, paella, sangria are the best local foods.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

No, because I had friends, like a family, to live with.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

I lived at my friends' house, so it was cheaper.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are the courses. But for me it was kind of easy to adapt to the languge with basic knowledge, because it is similar to english and latin.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

Plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

To see templo de Debod. It is beautiful at night. Also to see at day and at night sierras at Buenas Aires metro station. From there you can see all the city.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?

Plaza Mayor has lots of bars where you can buy tostados con calamares y cerveza, which are really good.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Templo de Debod, cable car, Palacio Real. Also it is really apparent to go to Aranjuez, Alcalá de Henares, El escorial.

Also there is one museo Tifologico near the metro station of Estrella.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?

Don't be afraid and just go! It is really good place to try to live :)
