Why did you choose to go to Madrid, Spain?

actually, it was because it was near to Portugal.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

it was 6 months, and I received 1400€, approximately.

What is the student lifestyle like in Madrid?

very very good.
The professors don't facilitate as much as a erasmus student wanted, but you can have the the better from both worlds: party hard, and study moments, in the best places, with the best views :)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Madrid to other students?

I do it, all the time.

What is the food like?

Delicious!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Madrid?

no. I did some research in the internet, one month earlier.

How much does it cost to live in Madrid?

it isn't the most expensive city in Europe. It's cool

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

the university as courses availables to the erasmus students.
I didn't have any problem with the language (it's similar to portuguese). The best advise I can give you is that you write as you speak :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Madrid from your city?

bus or airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Madrid?

it depends on the day of the week. You can start in monday with joy eslava, tuesday at the little bars in Plaza del Sol, wednesday (the best ones) in orange, ending in PACHA, thursday or friday in Kapital and Saturday in Gabanna… and so on.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Madrid?

montaditos (at wednesday), and lots of Kebab (donner kebab sucks)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Madrid in the future?

Lo que pasa en Madrid, si queda en Madrid. Que lo pases de puta madre!
