What is it like to live in Lublin? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

According to fact, that I was born in Lublin I know my city like the back of mine hand. The city is placed on a high ground so it is very simple to see each district. Each of them, has an own individual style. Of course the most attractive one is Old town district which is absolutely "must see".

What is the student lifestyle like in Lublin?

Student lifestyle in my city, concentrates around our universities: Catholic University of Lublin, Maria Curie - Sklodowska University, Medical University of Lublin, Lublin University of Technology ( personally - the best one! ) and Lublin University of Environmental and Life Sciences. According to number of universities, we have plenty of parties, especially in October ( beginning of the "season").

How much does it cost to live in Lublin?

For Polish lads like me it depends on the topic. For example food is very cheap and good quality. In this moment I would like to add that there is no doubt that our beer (Perła) is the best in Poland, everyone can confirm that! Clothes are also quite cheap. The only problem is with accommodation which is a little bit expensive.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lublin? Is there any advice you can give?

Advice? of course, Facebook is the best choice but I also recommend the site Olx. It is in Polish but... you know Google translate, don't you?

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Great! my favourite one is Pierogi which I think many of you know pretty well. In my region we have one very characteristic dish. It is called "Cebularz"(cebolleros)! Believe me, you have to try it!

What places would you recommend visiting in Lublin?

First of all it is worth to visit Lublin Castle, placed in centre of the city. If you like art, and want to learn a lot of interesting history this place is perfect! The next place is the Old Town itself. Old - style architecture is definitely great. If you go a little bit further, you're goint to find Saski Park which is also worth to see. It is hard to mention all places but I bet you won't be bored!

Is it good to eat out in Lublin? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I think it is a good idea. When I am going to a restaurant, most of the time I go to "Szewc Irish Pub". In that place you can eat well, and also try a nice beer (I suggest to try the "green beer"! )

Is the nightlife good in Lublin? Where is good to go?

Lublin has plenty of nightclubs with plenty of fun inside! Personally "Cream" club is my favourite one. I prefer to visit student dormitories when I am going to party, so I also suggest to try that.

What advice would you give future students heading to Lublin?

Just prepare yourself for a great experience!
