London is certainly one of the best cities I have been to in my life. I have lived in many cities, but this one - it's just the best place ever.

The social life here is really nice, even though it's expensive. A night out at a restaurant can cost between 20 and 30 GBP per person for a two-course meal, even though some cheaper deals can be found too. McDonald's is always a life-saver as all of its products cost 1 pound each. Also, go to Angel, Covent Garden or Soho if you want to try international food. Angel is the cheapest of those three and Soho is also famous for other things, such as its extravagant nature of a favourite place for gay and lesbian people. Nothing against them, but please keep that in mind when going there.

Also, a movie screening can cost you between 5 and 9 pounds, depending on whether it's a premiere or not and if you use your student discountor not. Cine World Cinemas are generally amongst the cheapest and Vue is amongst the more expensive ones.

Pubs - such a great English tradition! Do try and go watch a football game in some pub as that will be unforgettable experience. Depending on the pub's location, a beer could cost between 2 and 6 pounds a pine.

Bars and clubs can be seen everywhere, especially in Leister Square, Picadilly Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus and Old Street - all in zone 1. Every kind of music can be found but bear in mind that bars close quite early - usually around 1 am, and clubs - at about 2.30/3 am. So get out early enough to enjoy your whole night. When you wanna go home afterwards, you will have to do it by bus, as the tube is running only until 12.30/1-ish. Night buses are as expensive as day buses, and some buses run 24 hours. Do not take a cab (taxi) unless it's something really urgent. For a 20-30 minute ride you might have to pay about 40-50 pounds. It's very expensive and not really worth it.

Almost all museums are free, so go and visit them when you can. Some others you have to pay for but are also really nice and worth-while. Do not miss out on Buckingham Palace either - it's opened from May to October and you could actually see where the Queen resides most of the time. Also, nice places include the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, etc.

And... shopping: Oxford Street of course. The many shops there offer sales constantly and there is no way to leave without buying anything at all.

Lastly, get enough money on yourself, dress up fashionably and go rock the streets of London as it will inspire you to do so. You can see style everywhere! Enjoy the wonders this city has to offer and don't forget to take pictures as that's the most lasting memory you could get! :)
