There are student offers and discounts from many businesses across all sectors. There is a lot to do and to see in Central London, every day of the week. There are also museums that are free to visit.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There is every cuisine across the globe available if you are willing to have a look on google, it won't take long to find favourite international dishes within close range.
What places would you recommend visiting in London?
Egg, Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Heaven (gay bar), Oceana, Picadilly Institute if you like to party. Museums if you are interested in the history which are mostly free. Camden if you like out of the ordinary.
Is it good to eat out in London? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
The student places are the best, justeat.com provides pretty much most student typical favourites. Always ask if there is a student discount (besides restaurants).
Is the nightlife good in London? Where is good to go?
Central London is always good but more for the weekend. Check out my earlier answer for some clubs.
What advice would you give future students heading to London?
Be ready for a fast paced life, have fun, ask if you need help as most are friendly and will help if they can but also be cautious at the same time. Enjoy!
