What is it like to live in London? What is the city like? Would you recommend it?

London is a beautiful city, full of great opportunities, you have to live there at least once in your life! There are people from all over the world and it is impossible to get bored with the variety of activities and events going on. Everyday there is something new to do, a place to discover, or someone interesting to meet. Going from the top to the bottom of the city is easy thanks to their efficient public transport network. If you're in a hurry, the London Underground is the best way to get around, but if you have more time, it's better to travel via bus because you are able to enjoy every corner of the city.

How much does it cost to live in London?

Living in London is quite expensive. The price almost always reflects the quality of the service you receive. For example, public transport is very expensive but it is also very efficient. Saying that, it is possible to find more reasonably priced alternatives.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in London?

There is a wide range of choice. Although you have to be careful and check out the area that you want to live in beforehand. The prices are obviously higher if you live near to the centre (zone 1). In zone 2, for example, there are residential areas which are quiet and not that expensive, like Willesden Green or Kilburn.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Fish and chips of course, the typical English dish.

What cultural attractions would you recommend visiting?

From a cultural perspective, London has a lot to offer. There are lots of museums that you can visit for free, amongst those are the famous National Gallery, the British Museum, or the Tate Modern. If you want to do the tourist stuff, you have to go and see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace (every day at 11. 30 am they do the guard change) and the Tower of London.

The squares are also very famous, such as Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Leicester Square...

If you want to escape all the hustle and bustle and traffic, a really good alternative is to relax in one of the fantastic parks, such as Hyde Park or Regents Park. They are perfect spots to have a picnic with your friends or do some sports in the fresh air.

Where are your favourite spots to eat in London?

The range of food choices in London is incredible: you can enjoy Indian, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, French and Mexican food...

I recommend Princi, Tuscanic, Sushisamba, Preto, and more...

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in London?

The nightlife is one of London's main attractions. Going out there is a unique experience in Europe, thanks to the never-ending range of bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
