Why did you choose to go to London, United Kingdom?

It's the best multicultural city in the world.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My traineeship lasted 3 months and I got 560€/month (~400£) from Erasmus which was enough to pay off only accommodation. And be aware that you get only 80% of the grant in front.

What is the student lifestyle like in London?

I wouldn't know much about student life because I was working, not studying. I know dorm prices are high. If you got the money or you can get a scholarship, studying in London should be perfect.

Would you recommend the city and the University of London to other students?

City yes, yes and yes. I'm not competent to say anything about university

What is the food like?

Food is not so good. Don't eat in the centre because you will pay at least 10£ for something you won't like. Go to markets like Borough or Camden and try something special.

Also many pubs also offer food, for example -7, 50£ for pint of beer and a burger is a really good price for London.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in London?

If you got someone in London ask them to go and see the room before paying for anything. Take a look on Easyroomate, Flatshare, Spareroom and sites like that. I had a bad experience with Gumtree, I would not recommend those kind of sites.

How much does it cost to live in London?

Rooms are from 400£ (a bit further from the centre) to around 700£ for the ones a bit closer. Monthly ticket for zone 2&3 is 90£, for zone 1 is much more, so maybe it's better to pay more for your room and be closer to the place where you are going to study or work.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I had no problem with the language. There's a guy who studied and now works in London for the last 10 years and his English is not good at all so don't be afraid.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to London from your city?

Aeroplane. Book it on Tuesday and try not to fly on Thursday.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in London?

Fabric.

Shoreditch.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in London?

Turkish restaurant in Kingston. Markets in London.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

To many of them to write them all. Almost all museums are free!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to London in the future?

Go on Sky Garden, it's free.

Go to Greenwich to see the whole city. Go in to Royal Albert Hall, find any cheap show but be aware: some of them are not on the main stage.
