What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Actually, whole Poland is cheap. Lodz probably has its own local cuisine but I don't know it. Many bars, pubs, restaurants on Piotrkowska street, Manufaktura, Galeria Lodzka, also cheap bar/restaurant in Technical University. Students mainly choose fast foods like McDonald's, pizza, Chinese food (which is very cheap). If you're in Poland try pierogi, barszcz, bigos, gołąbki.

Is it good to eat out in Lodz? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I like place with pancakes called Manekin.

Is the nightlife good in Lodz? Where is good to go?

I recommend one place calles Riff Raff, it's near Piotrkowska street. You can dance, talk or sing there (karaoke on Thursday, party on Friday/Saturday).
