Life in Lodz is great and fantastic. The city has a beautiful architecture and many historic places.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lodz?

Lodz is an academic city, a lot of students around the world. The student houses are near the University. It is a lot of partying at night and a lot of festivals.

How much does it cost to live in Lodz?

Lodz isn't a very expensive city. The accommodation prices are smaller than in another cities in Poland. The food prices are different. The clothes are expensive, and the touristy and sightseeing places are cheap and sometimes free.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lodz? Is there any advice you can give?

There are a lot of rooms to rent, shared flats with another students or family, and the cheapest are student houses.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is very good, but in the city centre there are a lot of fast-foods and pancakes. We haven't got traditional dishes from Lodz, but you can try traditional Polish food. My favorite is gołąbki and pierogi (dumplings).

If you go to Piotrkowska street you should go to Traugutta Street to have ice/cream. The best in Lodz!

What places would you recommend visiting in Lodz?

In Lodz there are a lot of places to visit. Piotrkowska street and Pasaż Róży (rose passage) and Manufactura, Arturowek (beach, water, canoe, line park) and a lot of historical places.

Is it good to eat out in Lodz? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

In the city centre there are a lot of fast-foods. Of course, there are some restaurants with tradicional Polish food, as well as Italian, Mexican and other restaurants. The prices are different, and it depends on the "level" of the restaurant.

Is the nightlife good in Lodz? Where is good to go?

Yes, there are a lot of parties and nightlife is good. On Piotrkowska street there are a lot of clubs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Lodz?

Have a good time, meet new people because they are very helpful.
