Why did you choose to go to Lodz, Poland?

Hello! My name is Sati.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am a full-time student that means 3 years of study in Lodz. Of course, you can apply for Erasmus and visit other countries.

Living in Lodz is not so expensive. I get help from parents but I have plans to work and get everything together.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lodz?

It depends on the student, everyone is individual. You can create your lifestyle as you want.

Here are a lot of entertainment places, as Cinema Trade Centers or parties. It is easy for a student to live in Lodz because the environment is really friendly, the only minus is the language. Just a few percent knows English.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lodz to other students?

Of course I would. Poland is the country of four cultures. You start to find out Lodz in different ways every day. It's not complicated to live here.

What is the food like?

It's tasty, of course. Every country has its own cuisine. But here are a lot of foreign culture restaurants. It is simple and tasty.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lodz?

Sure! I love my room. I live with 2 Polish girls. They're quite nice and keep silence and duty in the house.

How much does it cost to live in Lodz?

Lodz is the best place for student who don't want to spent a bunch of money but still want to live good.

Everything is quite cheap and the Euro and Dollar currency is high here.

Approximately, I spent 500€ each month or less.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I know Russian and Russian is quite similar to Polish language. But there are sometimes difficulties by buying food, because the receipt is just in Polish. Here are a lot of language courses and offices, also in each University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lodz from your city?

I came by plane. You just have to find the perfect day for buying the ticket and compare the prices of each online ticket service.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lodz?

To Piotrkowska street. It's awesome and beautiful. You would spend great time. There are a lot of coffee shops and restaurants.

You have to visit Manufaktura and I promise you, you will find the best place where you can spend your time. But, anyway, you have to be careful - sometimes it's dangerous to go out at night.
