Why did you choose to go to Lodz, Poland?

Because I didn't know Poland and wanted to discover a new country, but Lodz was the only possibility in Poland.

How long is your stay? How much aid are you receiving?

I'm staying for the whole year.

I receive about 400€ total every month from all my scholarships.

How is the student life in Lodz?

The Erasmus student life is great, the on-site team really supports us, and you don't have time to get bored.

Do you recommend the city and university of Lodz to other students?

Yes!

How is the food in this country?

You can find anything, there are various restaurants of different nationalities and Polish food is good but you don't eat it every day.

Have you had difficulties in finding accommodation in Lodz?

Nope!

What is the cost of living in Lodz?

It is very cheap compared to France for food, outings and everyday expenses. Only clothes cost more or less the same.

How is learning the language? Have you attended any language courses organized by the university?

You can learn by meeting students of other nationalities.

I took two weeks of free intensive Polish classes.

What is the cheapest way to get to Lodz from your city?

A plane to Warsaw then a train or bus to Lodz.

What places would you recommend for nights out in Lodz?

Biblioteka (pub), Klinika (pub), Lordis (club), Czekolada (club), Bedroom (club), Glow (club).

The old Jewish ghetto, many museums are interesting

Do you have any advice for future students in Lodz?

Don't hesitate to come even if you're afraid to because you don't know the city! At first you'll feel lost but you're very well supported, you'll meet many people and really enjoy yourself.

Also there are many bus lines to visit Poland and even the surrounding countries, and they're not very expensive.
