Why did you choose to go to Lodz, Poland?
Because Lodz is the city which develops the fastest in Poland. Almost half of the city is being renovated.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
Half a year. I received about 2000 EUR.
What is the student lifestyle like in Lodz?
A lot of learning, but with great parties.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Lodz to other students?
Yes, of course.
What is the food like?
Delicious. Especially Pierogi and Żurek.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lodz?
There are a lot of hostels and flats to rent.
How much does it cost to live in Lodz?
It depends on standard of life. But about 70 PLN daily is enough.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Yes, but I recommend private schools.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lodz from your city?
Bus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lodz?
To the one of pubs and restaurants.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lodz?
Esplanada, Manekin, Restauracja Polska, Pomodoro.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lodz in the future?
Łódź is a different city than others in this country. Łódź has soul, and it is worth to go there just to see how unusual is and how fast it changes.
