Experience in Liverpool, United Kingdom by Ryan
What is it like to live in Liverpool? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Liverpool is a city big enough for students but not so big that you feel lost. After a couple of months you'll know it inside out!
What is the student lifestyle like in Liverpool?
Very good as there are a number of universities, lots of students around the centre and surrounding areas.
How much does it cost to live in Liverpool?
Relatively little compared to other main cities.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Liverpool? Is there any advice you can give?
Accommodation is easy to find, good accommodation not so. Avoid living on Smithdown Road like the plague, prime burglary location.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The standard really... loads of restaurants, cafe's, fast food, etc. Whatever you want you'll find.
What places would you recommend visiting in Liverpool?
Heebie Jeebies night club, Liverpool 1 shopping centre, Albert Docks.
Is it good to eat out in Liverpool? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Good depending on where you go! The Font (near Uni of Liv) is very good for a quick bite in between lectures and Almost Famous (off Seal Street) serve the best burger I've ever had!
Is the nightlife good in Liverpool? Where is good to go?
Excellent, second to none in my biased opinion! Medication, Heebies, Cava, Aloha even Baa Bar can be good!
What advice would you give future students heading to Liverpool?
Go to Heebie Jeebies for a nightout and avoid Smithdown Road for living!
