How long does the grant last for? How much money do you receive as financial support?

The grant lasts for 6 months, from September to March. I receive two types of financial support: the first is from the Ministry of Education, which comes to around 2, 000€; and, the second comes from the Andalusian Government, which totals just a little over 1000€.

What is student life like in Liverpool?

In general, there are absolutely loads of students in Liverpool. However, the majority of them come from other parts of the UK rather than from foreign countries.

Would you recommend the city and Liverpool Hope University to other students?

Of course I recommend it, even if it's just for the simple thing that you get to know another culture and other people.

What is the food like in the UK?

Generally, there isn't a typical dish in the UK, except, perhaps, for fish and chips. Nonetheless, there is lots of different food from other countries, like India, Greece, etc.

Was it difficult for you to find accommodation?

It was actually quite difficult for me to find something because I had first thought about searching for a house, but it's difficult to be completely sure from Spain whether what they are telling you is true or not. In the end, I ended up contacting a housing agency that searched for a student residence on my behalf.

How much does it cost to live in Liverpool?

Too much.

What is the language like? Did you go to any language classes at the university?

Within the university campus, English is perfectly understandable. The problems come when you are out and about in the street given how strong their accent is.

What is the cheapest way of getting to Liverpool from your city?

By plane from either Malaga or Madrid.

Which places do you recommend for nightlife in Liverpool?

All of the nightclubs are located in Chinatown: Walkabout, Soho, Heebie Jeebies, Level, etc.
