León is considered as the shoes capital. There are many shoes manufacturers. You can find a different types of shoes with good quality and really cheap.
León is the 5th biggest city in México.
León is near Guanajuato, which is considered the city of the independence. Guanajuato is distinguished because down the city are many tunnel because years ago, the principal income of the city was because of mining.

León, great city to visit.

What is the student lifestyle like in Leon?

There are very good Universities to study. There are the Tec de Monterrey, which is considered the best private university in México. There are as well the Universidad Iberoamericana and Universidad de la Salle, other great universities in México.

How much does it cost to live in Leon?

Around 600 dls per month, including all bills and the rent of a flat. sometimes if you share a flat, it could be cheaper.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Leon? Is there any advice you can give?

No, there are many flats for rent, and they are really cheap.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food es great, because you can find every single mexican dish. There is a typical dish from León called Guacamayas, just delicious and quite spacy.

What places would you recommend visiting in Leon?

Templo Expiatorio, Town Centre, Arco de la Calzada, Shoes outlets, Parque Bicentenario, Estadio León and very fancy shopping centres.

Is it good to eat out in Leon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There is a traditional place to eat like Rincon Gaucho Tradicional, where you can find many find of meat cuts and traditional pastas. If you want to taste mexican food and drink in a very good environmental with mariachi, you should try to go to Panteon Taurino Tradicional.

Is the nightlife good in Leon? Where is good to go?

Yes it is, there are many clubs and bars to enjoy your nightlife, If you want to hang out with your friends or just talk, you should go to the street Madero, It is full of many kinds of bars, you kind find bars with music from a calm jazz to a rock live music.
But if you want to go for dancing and drink, you should go to the disco PRIVE, Bond or Hart. Those are the best nightclubs in León.
