What is it like to live in Leon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's an industrial city. The families here know each other for long generation ago.
People is warm if you're foreign.
It's 30 minutes away from Guanajuato one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico.
What is the student lifestyle like in Leon?
There are not to many universities in Leon (maybe 10max) so everybody knows each other. Young people like to party and go to other cities.
How much does it cost to live in Leon?
It's not expensive, you can find a nice big apartment in US $700 or less. The food is not expensive either. And public transportation it's like US$50 monthly.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Leon? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not difficult to find a roommate. To be sure ask about their parents or relatives. Leon is a small city so you can know anyone really quick.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The local food is mostly snacks food but you can go to a nice restaurant or a "fondita" and eat well with a "family sasone".
What places would you recommend visiting in Leon?
Madero street, is full of bars.
Plaza mayor and Altacia are the biggest malls in town.
The museum of the state, they change their expositions every while.
Tacos "el patito" really nice topical food.
Guacamayas "El Johny" simply delicious.
Is it good to eat out in Leon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
As i said before in calle Madero you can find nice places.

Is the nightlife good in Leon? Where is good to go?
Yes but there is only like 3 night clubs. So every time you go out you see the same people everywhere.
What advice would you give future students heading to Leon?
Stay at school.
