Definitelly recommend. A lot of Erasmus and big student spirit.

No, but take your time and do your search. Remember that for better quality room/house you have to pay more.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Every portuguese food is good. Specifically from Leiria you have to try morcela de arroz, migas and brisas do lis, but you have all the other portugueses famous dishes.

What places would you recommend visiting in Leiria?

Go to José Lucio da Silva theater watch a concert/show/etc. Take a walk/run by the river. Visit Mosteiro da Batalha. Visit Mira de Aire caves. Go to Nazaré beach and any other beach on a sunny day.

Is it good to eat out in Leiria? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

From homemade and unexpensive food to high quality. It's hard to give examples with so many, but Salvador for unexpensive and Luna for top food.

Is the nightlife good in Leiria? Where is good to go?

Simple but nice. Start in Praça Rodrigues Lobo, then go to the bars in "Terreiro" and "Rua Direita" and finish in a disco.
