Not too sure but not too expensive in terms of food and other basic needs.

Yes, for students. Need to find it earlier.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Variety of food. From local to asian and middle east dishes. No worries about food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Leiden?
Just walk around and enjoy the view of the canals, old windmill and the shopping street.
Is it good to eat out in Leiden? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes. Plenty of cafes and restaurants near the city centre, especially.
Is the nightlife good in Leiden? Where is good to go?
It's ok. Not too wild. Mostly hang out with friends' place or late-night cafes.
What advice would you give future students heading to Leiden?
Get you accommodation done early. Know friends from the orientation as you need one another.
