How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I've been for 5 months.

I recived like €400.

What is the student lifestyle like in Leiden?

It's expensive.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Leiden to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

Not good. Cold kitchen mostly like sandwiches.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Leiden?

Housing in Leiden is awfull. First month I was homeless and had to sleep at stranger's couch.

How much does it cost to live in Leiden?

800 euros per month and I am living very cheap lifestyle.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes but most of them are paid... Luckily, my math department has free courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Leiden from your city?

Cheap flights.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Leiden?

Jazz club, Pelibar, Next, Vrijplaats.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Leiden?

Eating in restaurants is too expensive.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Leiden in the future?

Don't pay student housing office any money... They will just rip you off.
