Leeuwarden is a nice small city, it makes me feel at home. You find your way around quiet fast.

What is the student lifestyle like in Leeuwarden?

Chilling in the prinsentuin park, having beers in the local bar's and having dinner in the cheap student restaurants!

How much does it cost to live in Leeuwarden?

Renting an appartment around 300-400€, Food etc is also not to expensive

It's not that difficult if you invest some time in it. Most students find a room via the facebook group Leeuwarden student housing.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food here is typically dutch, but they also have a lot of fastfood restaurants. You have to try bitterballen at a local bar (tastes better than it sounds!)

Oldehove tower, Huis dat met je hersenen speelt, Neushoorn (for parties and markets), Bagels & beans, the Prinsentuin park

Yes, best student restaurants are: De lachende koe, Lazy lemon, Yamuna, Bagels & Beans, Double B and de waalrus.

Is the nightlife good in Leeuwarden? Where is good to go?

It's alright. You have the doelesteg a street with bars and small clubs, the Neushoorn with parties, the Hemingway for internationals and a few more.

What advice would you give future students heading to Leeuwarden?

Buy a bike!
