Why did you choose to go to Leeuwarden, Netherlands?

I was granted a scholarship here and i couldnt decline it because it was a great offer and also the netherlands is somewhere i did not want to miss out on ( the experience)

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship is for 4 years and i earn 1500 euros monthly

What is the student lifestyle like in Leeuwarden?

It isnt too bad if you can manage your own time otherwise you will find yourseld swampped with school work to finish and a very short time but other than that, it is definitely manageable

Would you recommend the city and the University of Leeuwarden to other students?

Definitely!the problem is they do not offer much courses in english

What is the food like?

I mostly cook at home but other than that, it quite alright, nothing to worry about. Its just a bummer that fastfood restaurants close quite early

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Leeuwarden?

The first few months yes because i was desperate and was willing to pay any amount but i found a cheaper place

How much does it cost to live in Leeuwarden?

I am a heavy spender so it costs be alittle too much but on average i would say maybe 10 euros a day if youre only buying food for that particular day

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes there is a choice of spanish, french, dutch and german. The languageis completely new to me so yes its abit difficult to get a grip on

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Leeuwarden from your city?

I live in leeuwarden. But if i wasnt, it would be a train though theyre a bit costly otherwise, there is always a bus which is cheaper

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Leeuwarden?

Not sure actually but kelder 65 and mango are my top favorites

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Leeuwarden?

Yess, zaika. Roast. Grand cafe, jamuna etc

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The fries museaum, the oldehove building and the princesshoff museum
