Leeuwarden is a city that is growing for students. It is not that huge but it lives and is becoming more popular for international students. You can go out to different bars and clubs and it is very nice!

What is the student lifestyle like in Leeuwarden?

It is amazing! You live close to the university and the city centre, so going out and going home is close.

How much does it cost to live in Leeuwarden?

It is not that expensive. You can have a studio with bathroom and kitchen for around 400 euros.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is nice and very broad. For almost every culture, you can find your ingredients at different supermarkets. My favourite dishes are the typical Dutch ones.

What places would you recommend visiting in Leeuwarden?

The Frisian museum, it is a museum about the culture of the people from the North of the Netherlands, but as the Netherlands is not that big, Try to explore Amsterdam, The Hague and a lot more cities.

Is it good to eat out in Leeuwarden? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes! There are a lot of nice restaurants! One of my favourite ones is Double B, a restaurant where you can customize your one burger and drink a lot of beer.

Is the nightlife good in Leeuwarden? Where is good to go?

It is very nice! There are a lot of good dance bars and clubs in Leeuwarden. The biggest one is Red. Where most international students are going is Hemingway. But there are a lot more fun bars and clubs.
