Why did you choose to go to Leeuwarden, Netherlands?

Because of my study and internship opportunity

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship is for 1 year. I received about 280e from Erasmus

What is the student lifestyle like in Leeuwarden?

Friendly environment, the nightlife is interesting

Would you recommend the city and the University of Leeuwarden to other students?

I'll recommend Leeuwarden to anyone who loves to travel. My university is not that great so i don't think it's a good suggestion. But if you are looking for an applied university in Water Campus, then it's a good choice

What is the food like?

The food is nice. Most of food are available.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Leeuwarden?

No i don't because i have help from my university

How much does it cost to live in Leeuwarden?

I guess like 400-450e/month. It depends on your rental and your activities. It can be 500e as well

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

In Leeuwarden, we have Frisian language, a different language from Dutch. For me, it's difficult but it's worth trying

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Leeuwarden from your city?

By bike or walk. Transportation here is quite expensive

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Leeuwarden?

The bar or any late restaurant

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Leeuwarden?

I don't know a lot because i barely eat outside

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I don't think there are a lot

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Leeuwarden in the future?

It's a nice place, people are friendly and most of them speak English very well, so for international students, it won't be difficult to come there.
