Near makkum is a very big dike in the middle of the water, it has a road on it and you can go from friessland, to north-holland. First it used to be one big sea, the waddensea. But a long time ago, they sepperated the water in 2 peaces. Going on the dike is a nice experience, because on one way of the dike you see the sea, and on the other way you see the lake. On both parts there are windsurfers and kitesurfers, nice to see
