Lebanon, a short introduction

If you search in the globe, you will realize that Lebanon is a very small country, but in this case "size doesn't matter". Yes you at least smiled at this statement! Haha!

SUMMER

Surrounded by the Mediterranean sea, you are guaranteed to have some great times at several beaches, whether it was to take that STRONG dose of VItamin D and relax in the morning/afternoon or dance to the beat that a skilled DJ is dropping and enjoy live bands at night! Summer is a popular season where a lot of tourists and people like me go to have an eventful vacation. The temperature can reach up to 40 degrees celsius, so make sure to pack light with those sundresses and shorts! Don't forget the sunscreen!

WINTER

Can't go in the summer? Or can't stand the 40 degrees, that is quite alright! You can visit in the Winter as well! Although in the Mediterranean, we are blessed with 4 seasons each being loyal to their descriptions. Yes we have snow! Of course nothing compared to Canada, but don't sweat it, if you go towards the higher altitudes locations, you will see massive mountains covered in snow and people skiing down them!

SOME TIPS IN LEBANON

And no matter the season, these people love to live life to the uptmost extent! The nightlife is crazy there! Please have a late lunch, because the average time of dinner will start at 9:30 pm. You will find the restaurants open before that, but you will be the only one dining there! Dinner starts at 9:30, partying starts at 12pm and ends at 6 a.m. in the morning! I told you they/we are crazy!  Expect to grab a nice knefeh on the way back home for breakfast!

PEOPLE

Besides the great beaches and outstanding mountains and sites, Lebanon is known for it's warm and kind people who will make you feel like home as soon as you tell them you are a visitor! People there greet each other even if they don't know one another! Please don't be offended with their ignorance about social distance! They are touchy people, so expect 3 kisses on the cheek and a warm welcoming hug!

FOOD

Lebanon, if a person, is a bigggg FOODIE! YES, expect to be engulfed with the traditional lebanese mezza and other yummy meals! You can find a traditional restaurant anywhere you decide to go, whether in the south or north or etc. I will have another blog post for this especially, no worries! ;) Getting bored of the authentic traditional lebanese meals ? Don't worry..  Lebanon is a country impressed with other cultures too, so expect to notice a lot of other cuisines there as well! They highly appreciate sushi ( who doesn't?), so you will see tons of sushi places there!

A lot more is to come.. TO be continued in my other blog posts!

Cheers!
