Why did you choose to go to L'Aquila, Italy?

It has a great location - in central Italy, so basically it's easy to visit every part of Italy from there. The area is very beautiful.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Mine was for 5 months - it was around 600 euro per month, it was ok because I had my own funds as well.

What is the student lifestyle like in L'Aquila?

It's like the usual lifestyle in every place where a lot of students live and study together - it's amusing.

Would you recommend the city and the University of L'Aquila to other students?

Certainly! I had a great time there, traveled to many other places, met amazing people and had a good time with my study.

What is the food like?

The food was wonderful, it's Italy after all. I love Italian cuisine so for me it was like being in heaven.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in L'Aquila?

That's one of the problems there - it's difficult to find an accommodation but I think they are working on this problem. The other problem was the public transport - it was insufficient. At some days the taxis are not working after 12 so you have to plan the transport every time you go out.

How much does it cost to live in L'Aquila?

Well, that depends on every individual person.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

The language is easy and very pleasant, there are courses as well in the university. In one way or another you have to learn it at least a little because not many people speak English in there.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to L'Aquila from your city?

The easiest way for me was to travel to Rome with airplane and then take the bus to L'Aquila - it's close.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in L'Aquila?

There are lot of places that can satisfy different tastes. My favorite place was one bar "Farfarello" - very good music, good location and very nice people. I will go back.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in L'Aquila?

Everywhere we went - it was ok.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Basilica di Collemaggio, one ancient amphitheater, the Spanish fortress, few fontains and some other stuff...
