University: To study, to eat

In order to redact the publication, I am going to write in French because it's easier for me.

The University technological institute (lIUT), the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Management, the Sup de Co group (business school) et the EGSI (engineering school) are located in the Minimes neighbourhood. They are opposite the sea and you can even see the sunset in Winter. There is a big university cafeteria (restaurant universitaire or RU) just to the side. The full meal: starter, main course and desert along with a piece of bread, costs 3. 10 (unless that goes up before next September).

The Faculty of Literature, Languages, Arts and Social Sciences (FLLASH) and Parvis Fernand Braudel are located further towards the city centre. History, Geography and foreign languages are studied there... Here is the website: http://fllash.univ-larochelle.fr/

The library (Bibliothèque Universitaire) is opposite. It's the city's only university library. There is the multimedia library (a public establishment) on the other side of the building. The BU (library) is frequented enormously by the students. You can study (that goes without saying) and watch or hire films, books and/or CDS. You can rent laptops or use the computers there. The second floor is where languages are, where there are plenty of manuals and books/novels. There is a lift for those who are lazier!

Right next to the BU and to the FLLASH, there is the RU Vespucci (student cafeteria). It's much smaller than the RU République next to the side of Law and Management.

Next, the Faculty of Fundamental Science and Science for Engineering (http://www.univ-larochelle.fr/UFR-Sciences-Fondamentales-et) is located five minutes away from the FLLASH. It's a very long building with plenty of windows. There is a RU in the building.

If you fancy eating something other than the meals in the city's RUs, there is a Subway next to the FLLASH, several small restaurants selling sandwiches and kebabs... (€4-10). The McDonald's (€7-14) is in between the FLLASH and the faculty of science. There is 'Au pain du Lac' (€5-7) near the IUT. The RU remains the least expensive for a real meal.

Next to McDonald's, there is a Carrefour city to pick up some small bits because it remains expensive for a proper shop. Here, you can also buy something to eat.
