What is the student lifestyle like in Kuopio?

There are a lot of parties nearly every day, at least on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Kuopio to other students?

Yes, I recommend this place because there are good facilities and conditions to get education.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Kuopio?

No, in Kuopio there is a special organisation "KUOPAS", which provides accomodation for the students.

How much does it cost to live in Kuopio?

Prices are really high.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

You can learn Finnish at the university for free.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Kuopio from your city?

By train from Ekaterinburg to St. Petersburg and then by bus to Kuopio. It`s the cheapest way, but it takes 2 days. I prefer to go by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Kuopio?

• Free Time Bar (to play billiard)
• Henry's Pub

Although in clubs you should pay for entrance between 2 and 7 euros and 3 euros for the cloackroom.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Kuopio?
