Wesley College of Education

Wesley College of Education is a government professional Institution in Ghana.It is located  the Ashanti region of Ghana.It is a Methodist school.

Wesley college of education is affectinationately known as WESCO.It is one of the 39 or so pupblic institutions that admit and nurture/train teachers to feed the public basic  schools of Ghana.

Each year,Wesco admits around four hundred (400) students  into the study of

SPECIAL SCIENCE AND MATHS ,

FRENCH

GENERAL COURSE

(ALL ,WITH EDUCATION).

The duration for each program is 3years but students have to do 2years campus studies and a year off campus studies.Students are deployed into the the various public schools within the region (and into specified districts) for mentorship.This has been named "off campus teaching practice"

The School has two big libraries,a very big computer lab of around 200 computers with very good internet service, good science labs(including physics,chemistry and biology labs).

It has a big art center and a big auditorium .

Entertainment is excelent in the school.

Sports is excellent.

All students are residents and are fed thrice daily.

All summative exams are organized by the University of Cape Coast.

Certification is also done by the same University.

All graduates are automatically absorbed into the Ghana Education  Service.
