What is it like to live in Kayseri? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Kayseri is really nice. The people living there are mostly polite and helpful. Kayseri is also a very safe place to live in.

I will definitely recommend to live in Kayseri. It is a small city so things are easily assessable over there. Its transportation system is also really cool.

The city is very beautiful. It's green and there are some very nice places that one can visit while living in Kayseri.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kayseri?

The student lifestyle in Kayseri is good. Sometimes it gets boring due to not much nightlife present in Kayseri but there are some very nice places for the students to hang out with friends.

How much does it cost to live in Kayseri?

Living in Kayseri is not so expensive. I live in my university dorms which cost about 350 TL per month. If one is staying outside the campus, the dorms prices are almost the same. Food is pretty cheap in Kayseri. You can easily get a really good meal to eat in Kayseri under 30TL. The transportation costs are also fairly cheap compared with big cities such as Ankara or Istanbul.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kayseri? Is there any advice you can give?

Finding accommodation in Kayseri is not so difficult. If you plan to stay in Kayseri for a few days, there are a lot of hotels located there which offer pretty cheap accommodation compared with other cities.

If you plan to stay in Kayseri for a longer period of time, you can easily find student hostels or rooms over there.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The Turkish food is really nice. There is a lot of variety in the Turkish foods from soups to desserts.

One of my favourite Turkish dish is the durum. It is made from either chicken or beef which is rolled in roti. In the desserts I like baklava. Its really delicious.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kayseri?

I would recommend to visit the Erciyes mountains. The mountains are not exactly located in Kayseri but are very close to it. In the mountains during winters there are skiing and snowboarding courses. They are awesome.

Also I would recommend to visit Capaddocia. It is a touristic spot located at 30 mins drive from Kayseri. The region is really beautiful. There are also ancient underground caves located there which are worth visiting.

Is it good to eat out in Kayseri? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, Kayseri is a nice place to eat out. There are a lot of restaurants located there which mainly offer Turkish cuisine. Burger King, Starbucks and many other international restaurants are also located in Kayseri whose food one can enjoy.

My favourite spot in Kayseri is Mazakaland. It is an amusement park whose rides are really cool. Also, there is an ice skating ring near mazakaland. Its really nice. I often go there. The region also offers pretty cheap ice skating and ice hockey courses.

Is the nightlife good in Kayseri? Where is good to go?

There is not much nightlife in Kayseri. Most of the shops close at around 9 or 10 p. m.

In Kayseri, the city centre is a good place to eat and hang around with friends. There is also an ancient museum located near the city centre which is really nice. The Kayseri forum and Kayseri park are also good in terms of shopping or eating.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kayseri?
