What is the student lifestyle like in Kathmandu?

Mostly student came from different region to study in Kathmandu as it is main hub for education and many different national and international colleges are there affiliated to different national and international universities.

How much does it cost to live in Kathmandu?

It depends as if you live very nominally like eating home made food and not going out then it would cost you around $200 US $ for food and lodging.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kathmandu? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not really difficult to find accommodation in Kathmandu if you have anyone in contact but you won't get within center of city but you can get good accommodation 7-8 km far from main center.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are diversity of food you can get as different people from different region are there so you can get so many restaurant from different tastes, my favourite food is newari as I m residence of Kathmandu and my favourite is woh and bara and tama and lot more list goes on. If you are in Kathmandu then never forget to taste newari food it has so many variety and you will just love it.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kathmandu?

Thamel, durbar marg, bhaktapur city, lalitpur and lot more.

Is it good to eat out in Kathmandu? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes so many good places, like in Thamel and Jhamsikhel and if you want typical newari food then you can always go to local restaurant in basantapur, and bhaktapur.

Is the nightlife good in Kathmandu? Where is good to go?

Night is mostly in weekends and mainly in Thamel and if you have your own vehicle then only it is ok otherwise there are no local transportation during night.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kathmandu?

It's good to study in Kathmandu as it's is much more cheaper than European countries and live life to the fullest.
