What is it like to live in Kathmandu? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Kathamndu(capital of Nepal) is a very diverse city in itself. It has great monuments and temples as it is also called city of temples which are hundred years old, some of them enlisted in UNESCO world heritage sites.

Kathmandu is a valley surrounded by beautiful uphills. The villages around or bordered to city are also amazing with their beautiful landscapes.

Moreover people are friendly and welcoming. the food and culture is equally impressive. So give it a try :)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Nepalese cuisine is magnificient, as it has so many castes and ethnic groups each having their own cuisine.

Kathmandu is famous for its majority newari cuisine.

My favourite dishes would be: Chicken Chhoila, Gwarmari, Chatamari, Masu Bara, Yamari Dumplings.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kathmandu?

There are basantapur durbar square, pashupatinath temple, and other several temples and monuments with its historic architecture.

Bhaktapur and lalitpur neighbouring districts are also equally amazing and serene.

Thamel is the center hub for tourist hangouts having a night life.

Hiking around the Kathmandu valley is a lot of fun.

Well come to Kathmandu. It is a nice place with great weather and amazing people

You won't face much language barrier because the people here pretty much speak english especially the young generation.

All in all food, life, culture and Nepal itself is amazing with its mountains and floating rivers and high altitude lakes and falls.

So welcome to Kathmandu....cheers!
